Some small watercolours........

I find the best way to relax is to paint or draw, I suffer from a bad back at times, and this is the perfect time for me to paint. My concentration takes my mind off my back plus I don't have to move much so .........it's just perfect!!

So much to make.....

These are quite big about 2inches high, I found it so hard to cut out the hearts, and could not cut them any smaller, Ive cuts to prove it!! but I wanted them really badly to put on my special yule gifts, I just adore dressing up my parcels, isn't it wonderful to see the faces of people that you love light up, it make life so special and worthwhile.

I thought I would make some more of these and then fill the cones with sweets, a bit old fashioned but tasty.

I seem to have a thing for hearts this season, I have made these with left over bits and pieces so I have not wasted precious fabrics. I have backed them with printed papers so they look tidy if they flip round. I think I will put them on presents as keepsakes and extra blessings of love.

Starting my Yule gifts......

It is so difficult somtimes to make what we want, without copying others designs, I have fragranced this heart with the relaxing and uplifting Rose Geranium oil, then I found a beautiful vintage earring to adorn the top of the heart with some silk ribbon rescued from an old ball gown that was falling apart and in tatters. I have embroidered some layers of old cotton muslin with the word vintage over a print of a pretty child. As a special touch I have made some soaps to go with it that also contain the same oil with shea butter and Patchouli. xxxx

Blankets from bath......

I bought some really damaged blankets in Bath, I bought them because I loved the colours, so now I have started to make some goodies with the salvaged pieces. I have made a bird cushion and filled it with lavender and some lemon geranium oil that smells scrummy. My duck egg blue blanket( my favorite) I have been cutting up to make a sort of patchwork of flowers blanket, I think this could take me forever but I can do it on the train going to work......I think, I also think this would look nice over another cushion then just tacked down, lots of fun.....
